ModernTab: How do you align tabs on the left, and keep them there?

Problem:
I need tabs on the left, not on the right.

Attempted Solution:
I tried adding a HorizonalAlginment property to the Modern Tab xaml like so:
<mui:ModernTab Layout="Tab" HorizontalAlignment="Left">

New Problem:
It works on the first rendering. BUT if I tab to content which is wider than default, the page (visual tree?) redraws itself with the tabs aligned right! A domino rally of other visual problems ensues.

Any help is much appreciated!

There is a way not good enough
Find \FirstFloor.ModernUI\Themes\ModernTab.xaml
<ListBox x:Name="LinkList" ItemsSource="{TemplateBinding Links}" HorizontalAlignment="Right" VerticalAlignment="Top" Margin="{DynamicResource HeaderMargin}"
change it to HorizontalAlignment="Left".

you can also make it a DependencyProperty to bind.
